Sonic Experiment #329 Iterations

Live Takes: Sonic Experiment #329

A deep generative synth-noise experience for space bliss. Enjoy the journey.

Sonic Experiment #329 is the latest in my Live Takes series. It was a generative work utilising chance, random and scale control from FX in the Squarp Pyramid sequencer. The work is a short generative piece. It features timbres reminiscent of modern synth-pop with lots of delay and reverb. Gear list includes: SoundCraft Signature MK 22 analogue mixing desk, Arturia DrumBrute, Arturia MiniBrute, Korg Wavestate and Korg Minilogue XD. The creation of this Live Takes had many iterations. This is a normal part of my process, especially when generative elements are involved. Below is the original take I recorded.

This take had a FX added that had “humanistic” chance of quantisation, applied in varying amounts. I decided this felt a little too out of time with it self, for the main channel release, but was an interesting take none the less.

This is a Live Takes recording of the process. I decided not to use this, as the audio was captured from the wrong channel! These things definitely happen. But a great learning in the live video process.
