Wave Experiments For Those Who Came Before

Today I launch the latest Nervous Plaything album. We had a Listening Launch Party which went really well, I was around to talk through the work and enjoy the offical launch of the album. Had some folks tune in which was awesome. A small technical issue, but nothing that isn’t all a part of the authenticity of it all. It was a great experience trialling a pre-order as well. You can pick up the album here at Bandcamp. The album was made with Max Msp, Logic Pro, Korg Minlogue XD and Soundcraft Signature Mk 22 desk. It is an exploration into drone.

Wave Experiments For Those Who Came Before

Wave Experiments For Those That Came Before is an experimental drone album that showcases classic drone experiments with the Nervous Plaything touch. 30 minutes of thought provoking and introspective sound.

250 and 450 Hz Drones Panning to Alternate Channels

This is a work of two drones slowly panning towards the alternate binary channel. This is a long form work that slowly makes the listener forget about the passage of time and our impact within it.

Generative Triangle, Sawtooth and Square Waves

This is a generative work of Triangle, Sawtooth and Square Waves that uses a chance-based algorithm to generate a note. This affects frequency, rhythm and pitch. The track forces reflection and comparison of the timbral aspects of the drones, making the listener consider compassion to others in this busy life.

12 Channels of Drone Slowly Moving to Unison

3 triangle, 3 sawtooth, 3 square and 3 sine waves all starting at various pitches, slowly moving to 100 Hz. This track moves from chaos to calm. It alters the audience perception as the Hz of each channel moves in and out of discernibility.
