Roll to End this Torment!

Check out my new dice rolling game, that is long, and fun for a couple of laughs. Roll to End this Torment! thematically represents being a millennial waiting for the world to burn in a catastrophic fire. But even the end of all things is hard to come by these days…

This game has survived play test and made us all laugh a lot. I would not recommend many rounds in a row, as it might get quite tedious. This game is best done between larger games, and definitely should include some social lubricants.

Try it out for yourself and let me know if you like it!

Roll to End this Torment!

Theme:

You are a millennial waiting for the world to burn in a catastrophic fire. But even the end of all things is hard to come by these days…

Rules:

This is a frantic roll ‘em up where players are trying to roll d6 dice, getting 4 matching numbers of any kind. Players must keep rolling dice as fast as possible. You may leave dice sitting on the table once you get some pairs, to keep the numbers you want. You get a die for the side, to mark your points. If you get a matching set, you get a point. The rounds then repeat until you get 3 points. Each time a point is won, you must roll an additional dice.

Safe Points:

Each player also gets 3 safe points (marked on another dice) to ease the torment. These points regenerate between rounds, unless they are “burned”. You may spend points in the following ways:

  • Spend 1 point – everyone must stop for 3 rolls from one player

    • At any time, a player can stop someone else’s stop and they are played out in trigger order newest to oldest (you can also stop yourself)

  •  Burn 1 point – to change the number of a die

Optional rules:

  • Only able to roll 1s

  • Not allowing dice to be left on the table once, rolled, must roll all dice at a time

  • Everyone gets a set number of points and that’s all they get for all rounds, but this number might be higher than 3

  • Roll any set of all 1 number and you have to stop for 10 seconds
