Session 10- DeLander’s Mission: Following Councillor Bataar Pt 1
The group visited the Infinity Tower. They got a visitor’s. Pass on a tour to go through the offices of the counsellors. This was to complete DeLander’s mission, of spying on the Ruler of the Human Past, Bataar. Follow the councillor to see if anything weird is happening to him and she will remove the bounty on you all. He has been making some weird decisions that don’t favour human kind. They head through the offices of many of the members:

During The final room, the group confronted him regarding his ambitions. Esbara and Ralph were finding out about him, distracting him and hearing his wild stories. Zadymka and Khazgan were poking around his stuff, found some weapons and some documentation. Esbara saw the councillor acting strangely, and accepted corruption for the first time to clear his mind. A black smoke poured out of him. He mouthed “help me” and later “don’t let him take me”.
Session 11- DeLander’s Mission: Following Councillor Bataar Pt 2
After the mist escaped the body of Bataar, Esbara healed him. Zadymka, hearing it speak, decided to trap it in an ice cube. A battle started as the mist called forth 2 giant bats. They were pinned down by Ralph and Khazgan originally and finished off by the party in melee. Esbara was nearly taken over by the mist but Khazgan and Ralph were stunned for a while. Seeing a vision of the King Draden call to them. Calling her deity Esbara was rejuvenated and Zadymka unleashed his bone staff, trapping the mist in a weapons cabinet. In the process of doing so, his corruption became too much and his ice armour shattered, as he grew a pair of bone wings.
Campaign Notes
The game is moving in a different direction than I first thought. We have moved away from dedicated abilities like weapon manoeuvres and instead, I find myself rewarding creative play through checks. We are all ok with this and find the freedom a little better. I need to make sure I a giving the same amount of spotlight time to the quieter players.
Tried corruption out, big for the character - it was ironic that the corruption leader to Zadymka’s wings,a nd shattering of his armour, when armour is his big thing. It was cool and kind of felt right that was the random roll landing on it, but hope it does not affect his character too much, by taking away his power. The ability reads:
Gain fly speed, cannot wear armour and -1 to Social checks, unless hidden
Things I might try out:
Extra success = retaliation? If someone gets enough success to counter all of the enemy attacks, maybe they could attack an enemy for free or have an action?
Forgot about the passive abilities
Be clearer in what determines extra actions - don’t want to punish people for being less descriptive
I might try that 1 movement is free and then have 2 actions, I don’t want to punish someone for just moving up to the enemy.
